Milan, Italy, was the setting for the Cisco Live 2015 Conference, held January 26-30 in the Milan Conference Center (MiCo), an event filled with optimism for the next generation of technological innovation spurred by the tech giant. IT professionals lauded the event for its commitment to both change and innovation, a concept that organizers emphasized throughout the event.
The event was focused, according to attendees, on how such an event can facilitate teamwork between the giant corporation and its many customers, who come from diverse industries and organizations. Solving problems that both company and customers have in common was a key element in many of the presentations in Cisco Live 2015.
For Cisco employees, the event was a chance for them to meet many of their colleagues from all over the world. Learning how those people, working for the same company, solved their challenges helped Cisco employees on both sides of the globe create even better solutions for their customers.
Because of the rapid growth of technology, attendees said, IT organizations have to scramble to keep up with the changes. Learning from each other in a team atmosphere can help drive the solutions that will keep the company and its customers in the forefront of the field. The need for personnel to develop leadership skills is a key ingredient for success, since that quality is necessary to tackle challenges by motivating quality people to stretch their creative capabilities.
Cisco customers, on the other hand, were able to express their appreciation for the technological solutions that Cisco offered. Customers also could interact with Cisco tech professionals to share their technology needs so that the company could be aware of the areas they need to tackle to keep their customers on top of their industries.
Headquartered in San Jose, California, Cisco is a multibillion-dollar, publicly-traded corporation that began in the mid-1980s as an outgrowth of the computer science program at Stanford University. They began working on routers and router software, perfecting their command of that field, and then using innovation to come up with faster connections, as well as entry-level connectivity products such as Linksys and others.
In the late 2000s, Cisco branched out into other tech products such as video cameras, IP phones, and others. Its products have been features in popular film and TV programs. As attendees at the Cisco Live 2015 event can attest, the company plans to expand its reach further to help solve the growing demand for technological solutions for the world’s problems.
